This sermon outline is about what to do to avoid distractions. The book of Galatians gave us some tips on how to avoid these distractions in life. Please do note that the following outline is still a raw manuscript but this is more than enough for you to get the main thought of this sermon. Feel free to add more content.

Text: Galatians 1:6-10

There are only two resolutions that we can do to resolve these distractions on the gospel.

Listen to the right people – You can get clues in knowing who are the right people. As Paul said in 1Cor.15:33 ‘Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”’

The problem is knowing to whether or not the person you are with are bad company or good company. Sometimes when we are blinded by our own wicked hearts and desire.

This is why you need to come to your own senses and ask the Lord God for wisdom and discernment.

Meditate on God’s word – Meditating God’s word will give you more clarity on what the Bible says about your circumstances and your questions.

How else can you know if what’s the person is preaching is true or not? You can only verify it by understanding God’s word. By reading, and meditating on it.

Stick on God’s word – It doesn’t mean that if most people believe in a particular belief, it is the right thing. You will be surprised that often times, the more popular things are the more problematic. So how are you going to resolve it? Stick to God’s word no matter how unpopular it is.

Hebrews 4:12-13 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Challenge:
Psalms 1:1-3
“Blessed is the one     who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take     or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,     and who meditates on his law day and night. 3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,     which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—     whatever they do prospers.
